Progress Report

INTBAU Pakistan & Heritage Foundation’s Flood Relief Emergency Bamboo Shelter Program in Sindh & Baluchistan.
We now have 2 production lines in operation - one in Pono Village (Chambar) Mirpur Khas (video), and the other one has been functioning in Makli (Architect Yasmeen Lari’s Z3C centre) for some time now. We have started rolling out these 1000 donor-funded Emergency Bamboo Shelters (Rs:25,000/- per unit), and we have already distributed more than 150 shelters in different areas of Sindh.

We expect to meet our target of delivering 1000 shelters latest by October 15 2022, to the needy people.

This requires intense work with a lot of teams with master trainers, including involving the local population in assembling these 12’ Diameter shelters which can house 5/6 people per unit.

Please note that we have now stopped taking any donations for ‘shelters only’, as we have exceeded our target of receiving the amount for 1000 of them - hence any donations that come in now, will be used for toilets/miscellaneous, that will support the recipients of these structures. And we will be actively reporting back to our donors on INTBAU PK social media on how their donations are helping in housing several hundred families, who were sitting under the open skies. Bless all our sponsors.
Please pray for us that we deliver these shelters in the most transparent way, to the most deserving people in these 6/7 areas of Sindh & Baluchistan.

Other Individuals/Organisations are encouraged to replicate this program on their own.

Thank you.

Those interested in contributing to these ‘Prefab Bamboo Shelters’ (Rs: 25,000/- per unit), can review this self-explanatory video and proceed directly to donations - or send an email to any Trustee, indicating their interest and confirmation of the amount.
